Annapurna Base Camp
- 15 Days - 14 nights
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a classic adventure that takes you beyond the foothills of Nepal’s Himalayas. It is a most exciting journey that takes trekkers through various landscapes into the mountain amphitheatre of Annapurna Base Camp (4130 meters). The marvelous trail is known worldwide in the mountaineering and trekking community. Come discover the treasures of the Annapurna Conservation Area with us, represented by lovely people, unique wildlife, and awe-inspiring landscapes.
Arriving at Annapurna Base Camp is a memory that will stay with you forever. Snow-capped mountains surround you, seemingly an arm’s reach away. Experience the feeling of being in the most prominent mountain range on earth. Over the course of the trek, see Annapurna I (8091 meters) and Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), two of the world’s highest peaks. These are just the most notable ones, though you will see dozens of others as well.
The views do not come just like that. Some days of fun, exciting trekking are involved in reaching the scenic views. After a pleasant drive through Nepal’s middle hills from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the trek begins. Start the trail at Hile, and slowly ascend via terraced hills and charming villages. The morning after reaching Ghorepani, we make a short, steep ascent to Poon Hill (3210 meters) to see the glorious sunrise view. At the viewpoint, a glowing panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges lies right before our eyes.
Continue through dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo trees towards higher altitudes. Look out for langurs and other wildlife lurking in the forests. Eventually, we reach a high altitude in which the trees start thinning out and we are hiking through barren meadows, passing rivers and waterfalls along the way.
After reaching Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), snapping some awesome photos and staying there for a night, we begin the descent. The trail leads back to Jhinu Danda, where there is an invigorating hot spring. Bathing in the healing waters is a blessing at the end of our trek! Then, head back to Pokhara for a lovely celebration. Thank you for joining us on this unforgettable Himalayan adventure!
This itinerary is designed to maximize safety and acclimatization. Because of this, anyone can join the adventure and you do not need previous trekking experience to enjoy the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. However, you should have sufficient fitness before embarking on the adventure.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be taken anytime of the year. Be aware of the climate of Nepal, though. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons for clear weather and mountain views. However, the rainy (monsoon) season and the winter are nice because there are fewer tourists. Daewoo Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd. handles the complete with complete management.
