Experience the historical and cultural capitals of India with this 7-day tour as you visit the City of Delhi and the ancient capital Agra. In India Tour, you travel through Nepal exploring the breathtaking locales of both these South Asian countries. This trip will include tours of various UNESCO World Heritage siteswhile traveling across borders and observing the South Asian history unfold in the form of palace squares and forts depicting differences in civilizations. Most impressive of all, the Taj Mahal which is one of the seven wonders of the world and a symbol of love. We have a short window of time to visit all these monuments, and our team of professional guides will make sure you complete the trip while making it exciting and enlightening.

Start the tour in the land of Himalayas- Nepal as you arrive and tour around the Kathmandu Valley. Visit worldheritage sites depicting intricate architecture and an elaborate history. In no time, we move on to India. With Delhi and Agra tours in our itinerary, we get on with our tour with a day-long sightseeing tour of the massive city, Delhi. While we visit the marvels of architecture i.e. Lotus temple and Lal Qila (Red Fort) among others, the highlight for this day will be the massive Akshardham complex with its striking architecture and a light show in the evening. This is followed by a trip to the ancient capital of Mughal dynasty in India, Agra city, famous for the Taj Mahal. This grand structure and a symbol of eternal love were built by Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz. This tour will also include a visit to the Agra Fort before we complete our trip and head back to Delhi for our onwards journey.Best time to take this tour is during February-March and October-November.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

    Welcome to Nepal. We will be present at the Airport to receive and transfer you to the trip hotel of your choice. Once you freshen up, we will visit the Daewoo Travels office to organize your documents and process the visa for India (if required). You’ll have the rest of the evening to yourself. Enjoy the bustling tourist market of Thamel and join us in the welcome program at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu World Heritage Sightseeing

    We will visit various UNESCO listed World Heritage sites on this day.Start the day early with a trip to Pashupatinath, a shrine of Lord Shiva sacred to Hindu devotees. Moving on to Boudhanath, a Buddhist shrine 2 km away from Pashupatinath, this is a sacred stupa (the largest in South Asia) that lies along an ancient trade route. Finally, we visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square in Basantapur which houses the Hanuman Dhoka, Kumari Temple, and a museum. End the day in Thamel which offers a vivid nightlife at various pubs, bars, and fine dining restaurants. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Delhi

    With all your documents ready, and your visa processed through the Indian Embassy, we catch our flight to Delhi from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A 1 hour 40min flight will take you across the border onto the Capital of India. Landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by one of our agents and transferred to the trip Hotel of your choice. Overnight stay at a hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 04: Delhi Sightseeing

    With the day split into two halves, we start our morning with a tour of 3 major attractions. First up is the Bahai Temple aka Lotus Temple which is a lotus-shaped architecture in marble. Then, we head off to Qutab Minar, a 72.5m high tower built by Afghans in the 12th century. Next, we head off to Lal Qila “Red Fort”. It used to be the residence of Mughal emperors during 1600AD. We venture into the Chandani Chowk area for lunch before moving onto the second part of our sightseeing tour- Akshardham. This temple complex is a Hindu house of worship as well as a campus spreading across 10000 square meters in area. It hosts the light show in the evening for 24minutes.Overnight stay at a hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 05: Drive from Delhi to Agra, Agra Sightseeing

    We head southeast of Delhi on this day to Agra, famous for the Taj Mahal. Driving on the Yamuna Expressway, you’ll arrive in Agra within 3 hours. Once in Agra, we visit the Agra Fort. This is a walled city in itself has borne the wrath of many wars and is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its cultural significance. Venturing into the Agra Market in the evening for souvenirs and local delicacies, later we check into a hotel to spend the night in Agra. Overnight stay at a hotel in Agra.

  • Day 06: Agra sightseeing and back to Delhi for Overnight stay

    Early in the morning, we set off to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal. A symbol of love built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to his queen Mumtaz, this popular tourist attraction is made out of Marble and is indeed a marvel of ancient architecture. We stroll around the Mehtab Garden before heading back on the expressway to Delhi. The night market of Connaught Place is an exciting affair where you can enjoy some of the best street foods in the world.Overnight stay at a hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 07: Fly from Delhi to your destination

    The final day of your India Tour, you leave for the airport.Depending on your departure time, one of our agents will accompany you and assist in handling your luggage. You will catch your flight back home from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
