Langtang Valley Trek
- 11 Days - 10 nights
In addition to the Everest Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Circuit Trek, the Langtang Valley Trek is a classic Nepal trail. The trek has everything it needs to be a quintessential Himalayan adventure. Trek up through charming villages and their agriculture fields into bright, blooming rhododendron forests. Enjoy the inspiring hospitality of locals in each passing village, and become excited learning about their culture and day to day lifestyle.
The Langtang Valley is special because you will start and end the journey within a week, but during that week you will see some of the most incredible mountain views you will ever see. Start from 1450 meters at Syabrubesi and several days later find yourself at the 4985-meter viewpoint at Tserko Ri for mind-boggling views of the rugged mountain-scape. Another bonus of the Langtang Valley Trek is that it is one of the most accessible trails from Kathmandu. A short 6-7-hour car ride drops you right at the trailhead.
The Langtang Valley Trek can be taken by first-timers and veterans alike. The highest altitude reached is 4985 meters/16,355 feet, though that point is not necessary. It is an all-around perfect Himalayan trail, combining charming village life, lush forests, and pristine mountain views.
The memorable journey begins the moment you arrive in Kathmandu. We lead you on a sightseeing tour of the valley’s most notable place before embarking on the trek the following day. We are dropped off in the bustling city of Syabrubesi and begin the ascent. As we climb higher, the settlements become sparser. Even higher, the trees begin to thin out. Before this happens, though, we have ample opportunities to see the impressive array of wildlife that resides in these forests. Look out for the rare Red Panda, Himalayan black bear, and higher in the alpine landscape, the Himalayan tahr.
Find yourself in the expansive Langtang Valley, nestled by the soaring peaks around it. Then, move up to Kyanjin Gompa (3870 meters), a major highlight of the trek. See yaks grazing and even try some local yak cheese made at the gompa. The following morning, summit Tserko Ri (4895 meters) and have your jaw dropped by the unbelievable mountain views. You have to see it to believe it!
The trail descends back to Syabrubesi along the same path, so you get to enjoy the sensational scenery once more! Come take the Langtang Valley Trek and have make memories that will be cherished for life!
The Langtang Valley Trek can be taken anytime of the year. Be aware of the climate of Nepal, though. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons for clear weather and mountain views. However, the rainy (monsoon) season and the winter are nice because there are fewer tourists. Daewoo Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd. handles the complete with complete management. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
