Spanning across the south-eastern edge of Pokhara and the north-eastern edge of Walling Bazaar is a trail known for its accommodation of unique cultures and lifestyle of countless ethnic groups. Established alongside the entry into the New Millennia the trek lies under the watchful gaze of the majestic Annapurna Himalayan range and the beloved Annapurna Circuit. The trail sees little to no traffic and the diverse beauty of the region remains unspoiled and untouched for the most part. The trek boasts of a wide array of diverse landscapes and impressive views of the snowcapped Himalayas from Kanjirowa (6,883m) in the far-west to Ganesh Himal in central Nepal (7,422m) and everything in between.

We begin our cultural journey with a pleasant ride heading away from Kathmandu valley towards Pokhara before diverting towards Gachhaepani from Bhimad without actually reaching the city of lakes. From the trailhead, at Gachhaepani we begin our journey heading towards Rajsthal for our first day on the trail. The name Rajsthal translates to Raj meaning "King" and Sthal meaning "Place" and the region is well known as beginning the abode of Kings during ancient times. Exploring the ruins of the palaces we continue our journey towards Pokharaichhap and then onto Pelkachaur reached through pleasant forested landscapes. Majhkot is the next destination on our list and at 1602m this is the highest point of the entire trek. The final few days of the journey takes us to Rambachha via the temple of Gahate Manakamana before ending the journey at Pokhara. Skimming alongside the edges of vibrant hamlet the ten-day journey takes us over 30 villages occupied the ethnic groups of Gurung, Brahmin, Magar, Chhetri, and Dalits each boasting a unique way of life and culture. The millennium trek is an ideal journey for those seeking to take a cultural ride across the mid-hill villages of Nepal while also enjoying impressive views of the Himalayas.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Kathmandu-Gachhaepani/Dhulegauda

    After breakfast, we begin our journey heading towards Gachhaepani for our first night on the journey. Through the twisting roads of Prithvi Highway accompanied by the raging Trishuli, the journey crosses stunning Hilly landscapes blessed with enchanting views of rural Nepal. Migrating from Trishuli the journey takes on Marsayangdi during its final stretch heading towards Bhimad from where we reach Gachhaepani. Overnight stay at Gachhaepani.

  • Day 02: Trek from Gachhaepani to Rajsthal|535m |4-5 Hrs

    The beginning of the trek today; we make our way towards Rajsthal well known for the ruins of ancient palaces and forts. The trek begins with the crossing of Seti Gandaki River heading away from Gachhaepani. Observing the Dhulegauda Tibetan Refugee Camp, we continue our journey through enchanting forests and stunning Hilly landscapes to reach Rajsthal. Overnight stay at Rajsthal.

  • Day 03: Trek from Rajsthal to Ghaderi|980m |4-5 hrs

    The day begins early with an early morning hike to Kolmakot for a lovely Himalayan sunrise. The sight of the golden rays of the sun glancing at the snow tops of the majestic Himalayas is one that easily remains in the memories of the audience. Enjoying the stunning panoramic views, we begin our journey back to Rajsthal before setting off for Millennium Cave. The natural cave boasts unique waterfalls and forts carrying historical importance beyond which the trail leads to Ghaderi. Overnight stay at Ghaderi.

  • Day 04: Trek from Gharedi to Pokharaichhap (Kolma) |1440m |5-6 Hrs

    With an early morning breakfast, we begin our journey towards Pokharaichhap. Located on the western region of the nation, the hamlet is a prominent center for culture and well known for its hospitality. Through lovely hilly landscapes, lush green forests and the occasional view of the snow-capped Himalayas the trail leads on towards Pokharaichhap where we get to take indulge in local food, culture, and way of life. Overnight stay at Pokharaichhap.

  • Day 05: Trek from Pokharaichhapto Pelkachaur |1439m|6-7 Hrs

    One of the longer days of the journey; today, we head towards the hamlet of Pelkachaur. Through the lush green forests adorned with varieties of floras and faunas the hilly trailheads in and out the cluster of settlements to reach Pelkachaur. The culturally rich hamlet boasts unique diversity found amongst the countless tribes residing in the place. Overnight stay at Pelkachaur.

  • Day 06: Trek from Pelkachaur to Majhkot |1602m

    We begin our day with a lovely breakfast in the company of shining hills. The trail continues through similar landscapes towards the hamlet of Majhkot. The pleasant journey takes us past countless streams and stunning views towards the hamlet surrounded by the hills. On reaching Majhkot, we get a chance to interact with the local people and indulge alongside them in their day to day tasks while enjoying the unique way of life. Overnight stay at Majhkot.

  • Day 07: Trek from Majhkot to Rambachha via Gahate Manakamana |5-6 Hrs

    The final day of the trek; today, we head towards Rambachha from Majhkot via the famed temple of Gahate Manakamana. The final day of the journey is a pleasant one trekking through Nepali flatlands surrounded by stunning Hilly landscapes. Through several vibrant hamlets occupied by ethnic groups, we continue our journey before making a stop at Gahate Manakamana the religious heritage of Hindus. Enjoying the tranquil atmosphere around the temple we head towards Rambachha ending our lovely trek in the Himalayas. Overnight stay at Rambachha.

  • Day 08: Drive from Rambachha to Pokhara |2-3 Hrs | Pokhara Sightseeing

    From Rambachha, we board the bus and head back to Pokhara which takes about 2 to 3 hours. After refreshments, we begin our Pokhara tour journeying the premium destinations of the valley including the Mahendra and Bat Caves, Davis Falls and Gupteswor Cave before ending our journey at the pleasant lakeside reveling in its tranquil atmosphere. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

  • Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu|7 Hrs

    The day begins with an early morning breakfast before boarding the bus heading back to Kathmandu. Through the familiar bends of the Prithvi Highway accompanied by raging Trishuli River the way back home crosses countless hills adorned with several small hamlets. Enjoying the stunning Hilly landscapes, we reach Kathmandu stopping directly at the hotel where a lovely dinner awaits us. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 10: Departure

    Once again our representatives will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and will continue to allow us to serve you.
